Provides seamless Unified Messaging with Cisco’s Unity Connection and IBM’s Lotus Notes (Domino)

BLACKSBURG, Va. (January 24, 2012) – Donoma Software today announced the launch of its latest mobile connectivity application: Donoma Unify 8 for Lotus Notes.

It’s the first product to provide multi-directional synchronization between Cisco’s Unity Connection voicemail platform and IBM’s Lotus Notes email.

Now, no matter where the message is touched (via telephone handset, virtual phone, mobile device or email) the message status is automatically synchronized in real time with all other message systems. By avoiding messy duplication or overlap of messages, users get the true power of Unified Messaging; while their organization retains the security and administrative benefits of dual interconnected message stores.

Voice messages may be sent, stored, secured and managed — all within the user’s e-mail system. The solution is simple and intuitive; no end user training is required. As soon as users activate their accounts, they begin to receive voicemail messages via e-mail that they can listen to immediately.

For those Cisco customers who have already implemented the free Cisco ViewMail for Notes (VMN) IMAP message client, Unify for Lotus Notes provides integration into the main email box while preserving VMN’s enhanced security, message handling and playback options. This in turn enables mobile devices to be fully synchronized across the full spectrum of voice communication systems in use.

With Donoma Unify 8 for Lotus Notes, those organizations who are using or have previously used Cisco’s Domino Unified Communication Services (DUCS) solution can now migrate to Cisco’s newer Unity Connection platform without losing true bi-directional Unified Messaging synchronization. (Promotional pricing is available for those organizations who were previous DUCS users.)

“Today’s fast-paced workplace demands that you stay connected. It’s easy when you’re at your desk. But your life doesn’t work that way,” says Parker Pearson, Vice President of Marketing for Donoma Software. “Donoma Unify helps people manage their communications more efficiently no matter where they are or what device they have access to at that moment.”
